This 1996 custom Lauriche Classical Dressage Saddle, also known as the Foster Lauriche saddle, is a high-quality custom saddle designed for classical dressage riding. Made in the United Kingdom, this sleek black saddle is in a size of 18 1/4, providing a comfortable and secure fit for both the rider and the horse. It has been well cared for and is in excellent condition. Stored indoors – no dust or mold. High quality materials and craftmanship. Although this saddle was created in 1996 it has been used minimally, cleaned and conditioned regularly, and is sound. This is a seat of maximum adhesion and broad-based support, which the great European Masters refer to as The Classical Seat. The saddle has a beechwood tree, has a broad-based seat with a low head and cantle. The panels have a wide bearing surface making it very stable and also places the rider’s weight over a much larger area of the horse’s back making the saddle very stable. It has a wide gullet to leave the horse’s spine totally uninterrupted. It has a unique girthing system which pulls from the point of the tree at the front and from the swell of the tree at the back. Takes a standard dressage girth. Seat -18 1/4 to center of button. Flap length 16 from bottom of stirrup bar. Gullet – 5 1/4″ to outside and 4/3/4″ to inside of buttons.
